Becoming - Michelle Obama. A candid perspective into the mind of a powerful woman, Michelle Obama shares about her humble beginnings, racial identity in America, her role as the former First Lady. She shares gems of advice for ambitious women everywhere.
The Bobby Gold Stories - Anthony Bourdain. A vivid, raw look into the New York party scene underbelly, with great characters.
My Life on the Road - Gloria Steinem. A detailed account on Ms. Steinem’s life as an organizer and champion of women, with great anecdotes and fascinating people she met along the way.
Shrill - Lindy West. A hilarious take on the world of media and how women (don’t) fit in it. Like she says, feminism will ruin everything you used to like. Truth.
White Teeth - Zadie Smith. Beautifully written, complex stories of three families in North London in the 70s and 80s. Interesting takes on immigration in the UK, integration, and growing up.
